Our Why
Our world is moving at a fast and unsustainable pace. This pace produces a life of hurry and distraction that often prevents us from experiencing the life that Jesus offers; and we believe that it is wrecking our relationship with God.
What can we do about it?
Be still and listen
We believe that in order to experience the life that Jesus offers, we must learn to seek Him well again. When we learn to spend time with God, in the quiet spaces, we can develop a life of close connection to Him by listening for His voice. Simply put, we must learn to slow down and be still before God.
Everything we do at Seek Well is designed to help you do those two things; be still and listen to God.

It has changed our lives and we believe it will change yours too!
Our Story
Seek well was birthed out of desperation. Tim Shelton and Bill Holbrook were tired and worn out; they were exhausted from a fast paced life that left them knowing a lot about God without actually knowing Him.
They decided to start getting away to a rustic cabin in the woods to reconnect with the God they once knew. Over time, they began to learn how to slow down and listen for His voice.
What they discovered was that learning how to slow down and be still before God changed their lives. God began to transform their lives in the most unexpected place; the quiet.
A few years later they began to invite men to join them at what is now called Refresh. Then, Kelli started the sister experience for women, Encourage.
Today, the mission is the same as it was then: slow down and learn to be still before God. Then, listen for His voice and let him transform you from the inside out. This is what we call seeking well.
The Seek
Well Badge
The Seek Well badge is a symbol of the key elements to our experiences. It was designed after years of getting away with Jesus to help remind us of what it takes to seek Jesus well.

reminds us that to run this race well, we must look up and see things from His perspective (Col 3:2).

reminds us that we need to get away regularly to rest our souls. We love the way Psalms 23 puts it - “He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.”

reminds us that we need a community to encourage us so that we stay desperate for Jesus.

that encompasses the elements reminds us that He is holding everything together (Col 1:17).
