Day Seven

Let’s look back over the last six days and remember what God has been speaking to you.

Let’s start by

BREATHING

Take three deep breaths and begin to settle you soul.

When you are ready,

INVITE GOD INTO THIS MOMENT.

Ask God to eliminate the noise and to speak to your body, mind and soul.

SLOWLY READ

Matt 11:28-30 (The Message)

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

READ YOUR JOURNAL

Take 15 minutes and read back through your journal over the last six days. As you read your own words, think about all the things God has spoke to you this week.

What comes to the surface?

Was there a theme that emerged?

What is God saying to you about your body, mind, and soul?

ASK A FEW QUESTIONS

What do I need to remove from my life to make time for more of God?

What is God prompting me to do daily to develop a deeper connection with Him?

What would the fruit of my life look like if I had a more intentional spiritual rhythm?

What spiritual practice(s) do I need to begin today to take a step forward in my spiritual rhythm?

PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

Write out a model of what God is asking you to do for your personal spiritual rhythm. This could be one new step forward or an entire overhaul to how you are connecting with God. If you need help, use the series of statements below.

One quick word of encouragement - spiritual growth is a journey over a lifetime.

The steps you take forward today will be different than the ones you take tomorrow. Today, do your best to limit your intentions to less than three actions.

Consider these statements as you approach your spiritual rhythm

In order to stay connected to God daily, I must ______________, and ____________.

In order to experience an unhurried and intimate connection with God, I must __________________________ weekly.
