American culture has twisted our relationship between work and rest; expecting us to keep up the pace which leaves us tired and worn out. One of the consequences is that we find ourselves working for rest instead of living in God’s original design; a rhythm of life that rests once a week so that we can live from the overflow of God’s rest.
